1September 24th, 2016 - On Friday night Kent Robinson made the short trip to Brownstown Speedway (Brownstown, Indiana) for the two-day Jackson 100. Drawing 42 entries for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) sanctioned program, Robinson placed 6th in his heat race sending him into the B-Main for one last shot at the main event on Saturday night. Transferring the Top 3, Robinson grabbed the last transfer spot in his consolation event with a 3rd place finish. Battling for a $20,000 payday, Robinson logged a 19th place outing in the 100-lapper.

1September 17th, 2016 - Behind the wheel of the JB’s Disposal Services #7R Super Late Model, Kent Robinson traveled to Knoxville Raceway (Knoxville, Iowa) on Thursday for 13th Annual Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals presented by Casey’s General Stores. With 69 cars signed in, Robinson logged a 6th place finish in his heat giving him one last shot at the opening night A-Main with a B-Main appearance. Sending the Top 6 into the feature, Kent gained six positions in the consolation event but came up short of a transfer position with a 13th place outing.

On Friday night starting on the pole of his heat, Robinson scored a 3rd place finish earning him the 17th-starting position for the A-Main. With $7,000 on the line, Kent fell back to a 21st place outing in the 25-lapper.

1September 10th, 2016 - Competing in the 46th Annual World 100, Kent Robinson returned to Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) on Thursday night for the three-day UMP sanctioned program. In a stout field of 108 Super Late Models, Robinson recorded the 49th fastest time in qualifying after swapping out a water pump that he broke in hot laps. Falling one spot short of a transfer position in his heat with a 4th place outing, Kent transferred into the B-Main for another shot at one the two opening night qualifying features. Transferring the Top 2, Robinson came up one spot short again with a 3rd place outing.

On Friday night Robinson secured his spot into the $10,000-to-win preliminary feature with a 4th place finish in his heat. Starting in 16th, Kent improved six spots in the 25-lapper posting a 10th place finish.

1For the final night of the 46th Annual World 100, Robinson logged a 5th place finish in his heat giving him last shot at the feature with a B-Main appearance. Starting in 7th, Kent improved four spots registering a 3rd place finish and locking his spot into the $49,000-to-win finale. 1September 4th, 2016 - Preparing for the famed World 100, Kent Robinson headed to Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) on Sunday for the 9th Annual Baltes Classic. Drawing 40 Super Late Models for the Sunoco American Late Model Series event, Robinson started the night off with a heat race win giving him the 2nd-starting spot for the feature. Working his way around the leader on lap 14, Kent held off a charging Billy Moyer to pick up his second victory of the season over Moyer, Duane Chamberlain, Jimmy Mars, and Nick Hoffman.
