1October 8th, 2017 - Kent Robinson added another prestigious accolade to his accomplishment list over the weekend.

“This is truly something special to win this championship,” Robinson proclaimed. “To win a Super Late Model championship at a place that is so prestigious and has so much history means a lot to our team. At the beginning of the year, we circled this as a goal, and to see it come to fruition is very fulfilling. I just want to thank my family, my team, my sponsors, and all of my fans for their awesome support."

K-Rob traveled to the famed Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) on Saturday to take part in the annual Allstar Performance DIRTcar Fall Nationals, which was sanctioned by the Sunoco Race Fuels American Late Model Series (ALMS). While the event was slated to only be a one-day affair, Mother Nature had other ideas.

Kent started the event by registering the fastest time of the 23 entries in qualifying on Saturday evening, and then backed it up with a heat-race win from the fourth-starting position. His preliminary performance positioned Robinson third on the starting grid for the 40-lap $5,000-to-win finale.

Early in the feature he worked his way up to the second position, but on lap 16 rain would begin to drench the ½-mile oval, forcing the final 24 laps to be postponed until Sunday afternoon.

When the race resumed Robinson challenged Van Wormer for the lead near the race’s midway point before ultimately slipping back to a third-place finish behind Van Wormer and Bobby Pierce. Jon Henry and Jacob Hawkins completed the Top 5.

1September 30th, 2017 -Kent Robinson traveled to Florence Speedway (Union, Kentucky) on Saturday powering the Jones Oil Company #7r Super Late Model for the regular night of racing. Earning the 3rd-starting position for the feature via preliminary events, Kent took over the lead on lap 8 and held off the field in the remaining distance to capture his fifth win of the season.

1September 23rd, 2017 - Following the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS), Kent Robinson made the short trip to Brownstown Speedway (Brownstown, Indiana) on Friday evening for the Tribute to Steve Barnett. With 30 cars signed in, Robinson fell one spot short of a transfer position in his heat with a 5th place finish. Transferring into the B-Main for another shot at the opening night feature, Kent edged his way with the 6th and final transfer spot. Rolling off 22nd, Kent held his spot for all 30-laps logging a 22nd place finish.

Returning on Saturday night for the 38th annual Jackson 100, Robinson placed 6th in his heat race giving him one final shot at the $15,000-to-win finale with a B-Main appearance. Needing to place in the Top 6, Kent fell one spot short with a 7th place outing.

1September 16th, 2017 -Thursday night brought Kent Robinson to Knoxville Raceway (Knoxville, Iowa) for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Knoxville Nationals. After running in 2nd in his heat, Kent suffered a flat-tire on lap 8 transferring him into the C-Main. Sending the Top 4 into the B-Main, Robinson came one spot shy of a transfer position with 5th place outing.

The following night for another round of preliminary action, Kent gained three spots in his heat race to place 2nd behind Darrell Lanigan. Starting in 10th for the $7,000-to-win A-Main, Robinson fell eight spots in the 25-lapper logging a 18th place outing.

For the final night of the 14th annual Knoxville Nationals on Saturday, Kent finished 24th in total points locking his spot into the $40,000-to-win main event. Starting in 24th, Robinson dropped four spots in the 100-lap affair registering a 28th place finish.

1September 9th, 2017 - Kent Robinson returned to Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) on Thursday evening kicking off the 47th annual World 100. Drawing a stout field of 105 Super Late Models for the UMP DIRTcar sanctioned weekend, Kent fell one spot short of a transfer spot in his heat race with a 5th place finish. Transferring into the B-Main for another shot at the opening night feature, Robinson landed a 2nd place outing behind Jeep Van Wormer locking him into the 23rd-starting position. Moving up two spots in the 25-lapper, Kent registered a 21st place outing.

On Friday night for another $10,000-to-win preliminary feature, Kent scored a 3rd place finish in his heat positioning him 12th in the starting grid for the A-Main. Losing one spot, Robinson recorded a 13th place finish.

Bringing the World 100 weekend to a close on Saturday, Kent followed up a 5th place finish in his heat with a 20-lap B-Main victory. Earning the 22nd-starting position for the $50,000-to-win finale, Robinson improved three spots in the 100-lap affair to place 19th.

1September 3rd, 2017 - On Sunday night Kent Robinson headed to Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) preparing for the upcoming World 100. With 19 cars signed in for the Baltes Classic, Robinson followed up the fastest time overall with a 2nd place finish behind Andrew Reaume in his heat race. Rolling off 5th for the $3,000-to-win A-Main, Kent improved two positions to place 3rd behind Billy Moyer and Dale McDowell with Jason Feger and Rusty Schlenk rounding out the Top 5.

1August 26th, 2017 - Powering the Brian Corbin-owned #231 Open Wheel Modified, Kent Robinson visited Bloomington Speedway (Bloomington, Indiana) on Friday evening for the JB Robinson Memorial. 1On Saturday Kent headed to Lawrenceburg Speedway (Lawrenceburg, Indiana) competing with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS). With 32 Super Late Models on hand for the Whiskey City 60, Robinson secured his spot into the $12,000-to-win A-Main with the 4th and final transfer spot in his heat race. Starting in 15th, Kent dropped five spots in the 60-lapper to place 20th.

1August 12th, 2017 - Behind the wheel of the JB’s Disposal Services #7r Super Late Model, Kent Robinson visited Florence Speedway (Union, Kentucky) on Thursday evening for the Lucas Oil Late Model Series (LOLMDS) sanctioned weekend. Drawing 67 cars for the North-South Shootout, Robinson registered the fifteenth fastest time in qualifying before posting a 3rd place finish in his heat race. Rolling off 18th for the opening night feature, Kent passed two cars in the 50-lapper to place 16th.

The following night competing in two rounds of heat races, Robinson landed a 2nd place finish in his first heat behind Don O’Neal. Slipping back to a 6th place finish in the ASi Racewear heat, Kent transferred into the B-Main on Saturday for another shot at the main event. Sending the Top 2 into the $50,000-to-win finale, Robinson came up one spot short with a 3rd place finish. Transferring into the Non-Qualifiers feature, Kent dropped two positions in the 30-lapper registering a 3rd place finish behind Dale McDowell and Craig Vosbergen with Steve Casebolt and Jackie Boggs completing the Top 5 finishers.

1August 5th, 2017 - Returning with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series, Kent Robinson was one of 30 Super Late Models registered in at Shawano Speedway (Shawano, Wisconsin) for the eighth annual Sun Drop Shootout. After timing in thirteenth fastest in qualifying, Robinson edged his way into the $10,000-to-win main event with the 5th and final transfer spot in his heat race. 1After losing the opening night of the 30th annual USA Nationals weekend on Thursday to rain, Kent Robinson returned to Cedar Lake Speedway (New Richmond, Wisconsin) on Friday night for the $6,000-to-win preliminary feature. Drawing 42 World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series entries for the two-day event, Robinson dropped four spots in his heat race to place 8th after he nearly flipped over on the opening lap. Surveying the damage after the heat, Kent was prevented from making it out for his consolation event to fix the issues he suffered to his suspension and steering after his wild ride.  

1Later on Friday evening, Kent followed up the fifth fastest time in his group with a heat race victory. Earning a spot into the Pole Dash on Saturday night, Robinson landed a 5th place finish positioning him 5th on the starting grid for the main event. With $50,000 on the line, Kent Robinson slipped back to a 19th place outing in the 100-lapper.

1July 26th, 2017 - Kent Robinson made the trip to Fayette County Speedway (Brownstown, Illinois) on Wednesday night competing with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series. Holding his spot in his heat race, Robinson recorded a 4th place finish positioning 12th on the starting grid for the feature. With $8,000 on the line, Kent jumped up four spots in the 40-lapper registering an 8th place finish.

1July 15th, 2017 - On Friday night Kent Robinson made the trip to Oakshade Raceway (Wauseon, Ohio) closing out the UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals Hell Tour. Drawing a stout field of 59 Super Late Models, Robinson followed up the second fastest time in his qualifying group with a runner-up finish in his heat behind Cody Mahoney. Rolling off 9th for the $5,000-to-win A-Main, Kent was an early retiree from the feature after his right-rear tire seal over whiling challenging for a Top 5 finish.  

1The following night with 58 cars on hand for the Hell Tour finale, Kent opened the night with a 10-lap heat race win positioning him 6th on the starting grid for the Birthday Race. Pacing his way through the 60-lapper early, Robinson began to make his charge for the lead following lap-21 restart. Blasting his way through the field on the top side, Kent Robinson charged to his fourth win of the season over Devin Shiels, Brandon Thirlby, Jon Henry and Brian Ruhlman. 1July 1st, 2017 - After Mother Nature ruined his initial plans at Terre Haute Action Track (Terra Haute, Indiana), Kent Robison headed to Tri-City Speedway (Granite City, Illinois) on Friday for the regular night of racing. In a field of 21 cars, Robinson followed up the second fastest time in his qualifying group with a heat race win. Bringing home a second place finish in the dash, Kent earned a front row starting position for the A-Main. 1On Saturday night Kent visited Federated Raceway at I-55 (Pevely, Missouri) for the World Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series and the UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals Hell Tour showdown. With 41 Super Late Models signed in, Robinson edged his way into the $10,000-to-win A-Main with the 4th and final transfer spot in his heat race. Starting in 13th, Kent Robinson jumped up two spots in the 50-lapper to place 11th.

1June 25th, 2017 - Behind the wheel of the Billy Moyer Victory Race Car #7r Super Late Model, Kent Robinson traveled to Florence Speedway (Union, Kentucky) on Saturday night for the Schaeffer Oil Southern Nationals Bonus Series sanctioned event. Sending the Top 4 out of the heats, Kent landed a 3rd place finish locking him into the 9th-starting positon for the feature. With $10,000 on the line, Robinson slipped back to a 21st place outing in the 50-lapper.

1On Sunday Kent rejoined the UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals Hell Tour for the $5,000 top prize at Tri-State Speedway (Haubstadt, Indiana). After falling two spots shy of transfer position in his heat race with a 7th place finish, Robinson charged to a 12-lap consolation win positioning him 16th on the starting grid for the feature. Losing three spots in the 40-lap affair, Kent Robinson logged a 19th place finish.

Getting a hole in his radiator on the very first lap of his heat race, Kent decided to withdraw from the rest of the night’s events after experiencing very rough track conditions in his heat.

1On Saturday rolling off on the front row of his heat, Robinson started the night off with a heat race victory locking him into the 2nd-starting spot for the $100,000-to-win Dirt Late Model Dream. Taking the lead on the opening lap, Kent held off the field for the first 11 circuits. Battling to stay in the Top 10 as the race went on, Kent Robinson slipped back to a 17th place finish when the checkered flag flew.

1May 28th, 2017 - Returning with the MARS DIRTcar East Series, Kent Robinson was one of 23 Super Late Models signed in at Brownstown Speedway (Brownstown, Indiana) on Saturday night for the $3,000-to-win A-Main. Following the fourth fastest time in qualifying, Robinson charged to a heat race win from the 2nd-starting position locking him into the feature. Losing one position, Kent landed a 4th place finish behind Steve Casebolt, Nick Hoffman, and Devin Gilpin with Tanner English coming in 5th.

1Sunday night Robinson stopped at Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) for the Johnny Appleseed Classic. With 16 cars on hand for the Sunoco American Late Model Series sanctioned contest, Kent scored a 3rd place finish in his heat race locking him into the 5th-starting position for the feature. With $2,000 on the line, Robinson slipped back to 8th early in the feature but battled back late to place 3rd behind Casey Noonan and Rusty Schlenk with Jacob Hawkins and Andrew Resume completing the Top 5 finishers.

1May 13th, 2017 - On Thursday evening Kent Robinson returned to Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Illinois) for the inaugural Farmer City 74. Drawing a stout field of 48 Super Late Models for the two-day MARS DIRTcar Series sanctioned program, Robinson edged his way into the opening night feature with the 3rd and final transfer position in his heat race. Rolling off 17th for the $3,000-to-win preliminary feature, Kent slipped up four spots to place 22nd.

1The following night after laying down the ninth fastest time in his qualifying group, Robinson grabbed the 3rd and final transfer spot in his heat locking him into the 17th-starting spot for the main event. 1Wrapping up the three-day MARS DIRTcar Series sanctioned weekend, Robinson stopped at Fairbury American Legion Speedway (Fairbury, Illinois) on Saturday for the annual FALS Frenzy. Following the eleventh fastest time in his qualifying group, Kent recorded a 5th place finish in his heat race transferring him into the B-Main. Sending the Top 4 into the $10,000-to-win main event, Robinson notched a 4th place spot positioning him 24th on the starting grid. Coming one spot shy of a Top 10 finish, Kent Robinson wheeled his way through the field 13 positions in the 50-lap affair reeling in a 11th place finish in a stout field of cars.

1April 22nd, 2017 - Kent Robinson topped a talented field of competitors on Friday night at Farmer City Raceway to park his Billy Moyer Victory Race Car #7r JB’s Salvage/ Jay Dickens Racing Engine Super Late Model in Victory Lane for the first time in 2017. (Double J Photos)

“We thought we would slide over to Farmer City and turn some laps to get ready for the upcoming Farmer City 74, and from the looks of the field we weren’t the only ones,” laughed Robinson. “There was some really stout drivers there so to get the win was pretty awesome. I hate that we had to scratch early at Fairbury the next night, but sometimes it just goes that way.”

With 22 entries on hand for the Weekly Racing Series Event at Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Illinois) on Friday evening, Kent laid down the fastest time in qualifying to lock into the pole position for the feature. He was joined on the front row by Dirt Late Model Hall of Famer, Billy Moyer. Robinson would grab the lead at the drop of the green flag. Despite strong advances from Moyer and 3rd-running Jason Feger, Kent would keep the field at bay as he raced to his first win of 2017. Moyer, Feger, McKay Wenger, and Kevin Weaver completed the Top-5 finishers.

The next night Kent was set to compete in the season opener at Fairbury American Legion Speedway. Unfortunately, the team discovered mechanical issues shortly before the start of the program, and as a result the Indiana driver was forced to scratch from the event.

1April 15th, 2017 - Entering the Schaeffer Oil Spring Nationals sanctioned contest, Kent Robinson traveled to Ponderosa Speedway (Junction City, Kentucky) on Friday to a field of 27 Super Late Models. Starting the night off with a heat race win, Robinson earned the 5th-starting position for the $4,000-to-win Spring Showdown A-Main. Hanging on to a Top 5 finish, Kent held his spot for all 40 laps scoring a 5th place finish behind Brandon Overton, Jason Jameson, Mike Marlar, and Ricky Weiss.

1The following night Robinson headed to Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) for the track’s season opener. Following the seventh fastest time overall in a field of 15 cars, Robinson charged to a 8-lap heat race win positioning him on the front row for the feature. 1April 2nd, 2017 - On Saturday night Kent Robinson visited Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Illinois) for the two-day Illini 100. With 41 Super Late Models signed in for the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series sanctioned weekend, Robinson qualified sixth fastest in his group before charging to a 10-lap heat race win. Receiving the 6th-starting position for the $15,000-to-win A-Main after the redraw, Kent dropped back to a 22nd place outing in the 75-lap affair

In a field of 24 Super Late Models, Robinson locked his spot into the $5,000-to-win A-Main with a 4th place finish in his heat. Working his way into a Top 5 finish, Kent landed a 4th place spot in the 50-lapper trailing Jason Jameson, Bobby Pierce, and Steve Casebolt across the finish line with Devin Gilpin coming in 5th.

- Kent Robinson opened the 2017 season on Friday night at Clarksville Speedway (Clarksville, Tennessee) for the MARS DIRTcar Series season-opener. Drawing 40 Super Late Models for the two-day Toilet Bowl Classic, Robinson followed up the fastest time overall in qualifying with a runner-up finish in his heat behind Rodney Sanders. Bringing home a Top 5 finish in the 30-lap opening night feature, Kent notched a 4th place finish behind Rodney Sanders, Terry English, and Tony Jackson Jr. with Cody Mahoney coming in 5th.

January 25th, 2017 - Traveling to a total of 33 events throughout the 2016 season, Kent Robinson reeled in two wins in his JB's Disposal Services #7R Super Late Model. Losing seven of his scheduled dates to bad weather, Kent posted 15 Top 10 finishes and five Top 5 outings.

1December 17th, 2016 - Closing out the 2016 season, Kent Robinson made the trip to The Dome at America’s Center (St. Louis, Missouri) on Thursday night for the inaugural VP Racing Fuels Gateway Dirt Nationals presented by Karl Performance. Competing in a stacked field of 97 Super Late Models, Kent earned a front-row starting spot for his heat on Friday after posting the 8th fastest time in his first round of two qualifying sessions. Transferring only the heat race winner into the $5,000-to-win preliminary feature, Robinson slipped out of his pole-starting spot sending him into the B-Main. Moving up one position in his consolation event, Kent secured his spot into the A-Main with a 3rd place finish. Starting in 14th, Kent Robinson improved five spots in the 20-lapper posting a 9th place finish.

In a field of 39 Super Late Models, Robinson started the night off with a heat race victory locking him into the $3,000-to-win A-Main. Rolling off 4th, Kent dropped two positions in the 30-lap feature registering a 6th place finish.

1Returning on Saturday night for the Fall Classic, Kent landed a runner-up finish behind Eric Wells in his heat putting him 5th on the starting rundown for the feature. 1October 8th, 2016 - Following the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS), Kent Robinson made the trip to Pittsburgh Pa. Motor Speedway (Imperial, Pennsylvania) on Friday for the two-day Pittsburgher 100. With the rain moving in early on Friday and scratching the remaining preliminary events after two hot-lap sessions were completed, Kent placed 8th in his heat transferring him into the B-Main. Sending the Top 3 into the main event, Robinson improved four positions in the 12-lap consolation event edging his way with a 3rd place spot. Battling for a $20,000 payday in the feature, Kent Robinson registered a 24th place outing in the 100-lapper.

1October 1st, 2016 - Running in the DIRTcar Fall Nationals, Kent Robinson returned to Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) on Saturday night for the Sunoco American Late Model Series sanctioned event. In a field of 36 Super Late Models, Robinson landed a runner-up finish behind Andrew Reaume in his heat earning him the 8th-starting spot for the A-Main. With $5,000 on the line, Kent fell back to a 18th place outing after a nearly seven-hour long rain delay.

1September 24th, 2016 - On Friday night Kent Robinson made the short trip to Brownstown Speedway (Brownstown, Indiana) for the two-day Jackson 100. Drawing 42 entries for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) sanctioned program, Robinson placed 6th in his heat race sending him into the B-Main for one last shot at the main event on Saturday night. Transferring the Top 3, Robinson grabbed the last transfer spot in his consolation event with a 3rd place finish. Battling for a $20,000 payday, Robinson logged a 19th place outing in the 100-lapper.

January 15th, 2016 - Attending a total of 63 events during the 2015 season, Kent Robinson reeled in two feature wins in his Open Wheel Modified. With the weather affecting 22 of his scheduled dates, Kent collected 23 Top 10 finishes and 16 Top 5 outings.
