August 24th, 2013 - Kent Robinson took his #7r Rocket by Club 29 Super Late Model into battle over the weekend in trio of events that began with a pair of $5,000-to-win, challenge events between the Mid America Racing Series (MARS) Super Late Models and the United Midwestern Promoters (UMP) Super Late Models on Friday and Saturday night in Kentucky and Missouri.

Twenty-five entries were on hand on Friday night at Paducah International Raceway (Paducah, Kentucky), and Kent started his outing by advancing to a 5th place finish in his heat race after starting 6th, which locked him into the 14th starting spot for the finale. Robinson passed four cars in the finale to register a 10th place finish.

Action shifted north to Federated Raceway at I-55 (Pevely, Missouri) on Saturday night for another $5,000-to-win bout at the 1/3 mile oval. Thirty-eight entries filled the pit area, and Kent won his heat race to lock into the 2nd starting spot for the finale with Jason Feger joining him on the front row. Robinson raced in the top five early in the event before he settled into a 9th place finish at the checkered flag.

Twenty-four competitors converged on the 1/4 mile, clay oval, and a 3rd to 2nd run in his heat race positioned Kent starting 6th in the feature. In the main event he raced in the top five throughout the race before crossing the finish line in the 3rd spot behind race winner, John Demoss, and Levi Kissinger. On Saturday night Robinson traveled to Brownstown Speedway (Brownstown, Indiana)1 for another UMP Open Wheel Modified event in the #85 Jones Oil Bandit Chassis. August 10th, 2013 - Kent entered familiar territory over the weekend by competing in the 31st Annual Sunoco North/South 100 at Florence Speedway (Union, Kentucky) in both the Super Late Model and Open Wheel Modified division. (Josh James Photo)

The $50,000-to-win, Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) sanctioned event drew a field of 67 entries to the 1/2 mile oval, and Kent began his weekend on Friday night by powering his #7r JB's Salvage/Rocket by Club 29/Jay Dickens Racing Engine Super Late Model to the 13th fastest time in his group, which left him starting 5th in his heat race on Saturday evening. Unfortunately on a hammer-down surface he would slip to an 8th place finish in his heat, which sent him to a b-main. He mounted a charge to a 4th place finish in his b-main, but with only the top two finishers moving onto the feature his night came to an early end.

In the UMP Open Wheel Modified division his luck would prove to be much better in the #85 Jones Oil/Bandit Race Car. A strong field of 40 competitors registered for battle, and Kent raced to his heat race win to earn the pole for the $1,000-to-win finale. As the race went green Tommy Bailey bolted to the lead, and Robinson stalked him until lap 6, when he shot to the lead. Once out front Robinson never looked back on his way to the victory, which came over Bailey, Derek Groomer, Ted Nobbe, and Jeff Babock.

A1ugust 3rd, 2013 - Kent Robinson Racing took part in the opening night of the 26th Annual USA Nationals at Cedar Lake Speedway (New Richmond, Wisconsin) on Thursday night with the World of Outlaws (WoO) Super Late Models.

Fifty-two entries entered the $6,000-to-win race, and a 3rd place finish for Kent in his heat race sent him to the 40 lap finale in the 18th starting spot. With heavy and fast conditions present in the feature Robinson would retire early to a 27th position to save his equipment.

Friday evening found preliminary action for the $50,000-to-win finale being held, and Kent enjoyed a great night as he charged to a 2nd place finish in his heat race to lock into the 10th starting spot for Saturday night's 100 lap finale.

In front of a capacity crowd on Saturday night Robinson raced around mid-pack throughout the event before powering his #7r Rocket by Club 29/Jay Dickens Racing Engine Super Late Model to a 14th place finish.
