1December 16th, 2017 - Competing in his final event of the 2017 season, Kent Robinson traveled to The Dome at America’s Center (St. Louis, Missouri) on Thursday night for the second annual VP Racing Fuels Gateway Dirt Nationals. Drawing 94 Super Late Models for the a round of qualifying on Thursday, Robinson timed in 19th fastest in his group locking him into the 5th-starting spot for his heat race on Friday.

1Moving up three spots, Kent landed a 2nd place finish behind Chad Zobrist positioning him 7th on the starting grid for the $5,000-to-win preliminary feature. Breaking into the Top 5, Kent gained two spots in the 20-lap affair reeling in a 5th place finish behind Gordy Gundaker, Tyler Carpenter, Chad Zobrist, and Tanner English. (Heath Lawson photo)

Returning on Saturday afternoon starting on the pole of his B-Main, Kent cruised to a 12-lap consolation victory earning him 10th-starting position for the $30,000-to-win finale. Running into trouble early, Robinson suffered a flat left-rear tire that retired him early from the 40-lapper. He was credited with a 21st place outing.
