I went and visited my doctor Friday (July 23rd).  He checked out my shoulder and said it looked good.  He released me from wearing my sling during the day so I only have to sleep in it now.  I go back next week and if everything is on track then I will start therapy.

Everything went very well with the surgery.  My doctor said there was major damage to the front and back side of my shoulder and we made a good call doing surgery.  As of now, I have had minimal pain...hopefully it stays that way.

I visited my Doctor last week at Methodist Sports Medicine Center where we spoke about the options we had regarding my shoulder dislocation. They took some X-rays and an MRI scan. The Doctor said that everything looked pretty well with nothing out of the ordianary...which was good news. He then gave me a couple options for treatment; 1. Start therapy immediately, 2. Wear a sling for a month then start therapy (the route we chose for the first dislocation in January) or 3. Perform surgery to fix it much more permanently. ...
