1May 10, 2019 - Call it sweet redemption for Kent Robinson. After seeing a Schaeffer’s Oil Mid America Racing Series (MARS) victory earlier this year stripped due to a post-race rules infraction, Kent Robinson proved on Friday night that his series win was no fluke.

The Indiana racer piloted his JB’s Disposal Services #7r MB Customs/ Jay Dickens Racing Engine Super Late Model to the $10,000 MARS triumph in the Farmer City 74 at Farmer City Raceway.

“Any time you win is great, but when you’re racing for a cause or there’s a little bit more on your shoulders, it motivates me,” Robinson commented. “It’s what it did tonight and what’s it done since [the April 13 MARS disqualification].

“I try to delegate my time between all my activities, work and whatnot, and I’ve spent a little more time on my race car in the last couple of weeks. I hope it’s showing. We’ve picked up some speed. I can’t take all the credit, we’ve all put our heads together. But it just motivated me, and I think it’s been good.”

I think I hurt a shock there during the race because the car quit responding the way it had been.
