Robinson fifth in North/South Shootout at Florence Speedway
On Thursday evening Kent Robinson invaded Florence Speedway (Union, Kentucky) for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series sanctioned North/South Shootout. In a field of 52 cars, Robinson followed up the fourth fastest time in his group with a 2nd place finish in his heat behind Chris Madden. Starting the $10,000-to-win preliminary feature in 7th, Kent jumped up two spots to place 5th behind Chris Madden, Tim McCreadie, Zack Dohm, and Stormy Scott. (Heath Lawson photo)
1Returning on Friday afternoon competing in two rounds of heat races, Kent followed up a 5th place finish in his first heat with a 4th place spot in his second heat. Failing to place in the Top 16 in passing points, Robinson transferred into the B-Main on Saturday for another shot the $50,000-to-win finale.
Sending the Top 2 into the show, Robinson fell one spot short with a 3rd place finish.
