North/South 100 weekend brings Robinson to Florence

Kent Robinson visited Florence Speedway (Union, Ky.) on Thursday afternoon to take part in the Sunoco Race Fuels North/South Shootout. With 52 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries on hand, Kent came three spots short of a transfer position in his heat with a sixth place finish. 1The following night for a pair of heat races, Robinson came in second behind Chris Ferguson in the first round before Mother Nature postponed the second round to Saturday afternoon. Passing six cars to finish fourth, Kent locked into the eighth-starting spot for Saturday night’s $50,000-to-win Sunoco Race Fuels North/South 100. He was an early retiree from the 100-lapper on lap 76.
