Kent Robinson
K-Rob invited to Dirt Late Model Stream at Eldora
On Thursday afternoon Kent Robinson was one of 48 Late Models invited to Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) for the Dirt Late Model Stream Invitational after the 26th annual Dirt Late Model Dream was postponed to 2021. Losing one spot in his heat race, Robinson logged a ninth place finish, which transferred him into the B-Main. Needing to place third or better to make the $10,000-to-win preliminary feature, Kent fell three spots short with a sixth place outing.
After swapping out motors late Thursday evening, Robinson laid down the 14th fastest lap overall in time trials before grabbing the fourth and final transfer position in his heat. With $10,000 on the line in the feature, Kent jumped up one spot in the 30-lap affair to register a 13th place finish.
On Saturday afternoon with preliminary points determining the starting lineups for heat races, Kent dropped three spots to place ninth. Advancing through the field six spots in his B-Main, Robinson scored a third place finish, which positioned him 24th on the starting grid for the $50,000-to-win Dirt Late Model Stream Invitational. Running into trouble early, Kent Robinson was an early retiree from the 67-lap feature on lap 24.
