Robinson visits Eldora for Million and Dirt Late Model Dream

With the 124-car field split into two groups for a pair of $12,000-to-win preliminary features, Robinson laid down the 18th-fastest lap in his 62-car group before placing ninth in his heat, sending him into the B-Main. Transferring the top-two into the 25-lap prelim, Kent recorded a sixth-place finish.
Later that night for heat races leading up to the Eldora Million, Kent’s 11th-place finish in his heat relegated him into one of two consolation events for one last shot at the $1,002,022-to-win main event. Needing to place second or better, Kent passed nine cars in the 20-lapper but fell short with a 15th-place outing.
On Friday as the 28th annual Dirt Late Model Dream got underway with a pair of prelims, Robinson laid down the sixth-fastest time in his group and looked to have a promising run going in his heat when mechanical issues surfaced, dropping him into the B-Main. Buried deep in the field, Kent maneuvered through the field 10 spots in the 12-lapper to finish eighth.
For the finale on Saturday evening, Kent’s weekend drew to a close after placing 14th in his heat race.
