Robinson returns to Eldora for World 100 weekend
Kent Robinson returned to the driver’s seat of the Chad Stapleton-owned Late Model on Wednesday as he broke out a brand new No. 7R wrap for the World 100 weekend.
With Wednesday’s Castrol FloRacing Night in America event kicking off the four night swing, Robinson lost ground in his heat but was able to find speed in his consolation race as he climbed four positions to finish ninth.
With the field inflated to 107 cars on Thursday for World 100 prelims, Kent struggled in his qualifying session before rebounding in his qualifier with a 17th-to-9th run.
After a hole in his power steering line end his evening on Friday, Robinson’s bid for the $57,000-to-win World 100 finale on Saturday concluded in a B-Main on Saturday. Despite missing a transfer spot, Kent gained speed throughout the night as he improved 13 spots in his consolation race to place eighth.
